Child care

BCCE 2014 is pleased to offer child care to parents who wish to bring their small children, ages 3 – 9 to the conference. Child care will be under the direction of the Grand Valley State University Child Enrichment Center (CEC).

The GVSU Children’s Enrichment Center offers families security and convenience of on campus quality child care, while offering children a wide variety of enrichment opportunities. Children enrolled at the CEC experience learning opportunities that include literacy, language arts, gross motor engagement and scientific exploration. The CEC utilizes many campus resources, including the university library, athletics and recreation, the art department, and public safety. The center is open to children of all Grand Valley students and faculty, staff and community members.

Children are cared for under the supervision of Bachelor level early childhood professionals, who plan weekly opportunities for young children to learn and grow. During the day the children will have breakfast, lunch and two snacks that are prepared by our own campus catering.

Child care will be offered from Monday – Wednesday (August 4 – 6) during BCCE.
