New Attendee Primer

On-site Registration and Check-in Hours
Onsite registration will take place in Kirkhof Center as follows:

  • Sunday August 3, 2014: 10 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Monday August 4, 2014 : 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday August 5, 2014 : 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Conference Materials
Upon arrival, conference attendees will receive a registration packet which includes a conference tote bag, badge with lanyard, water bottle, conference pocket guide and lunch tickets (if applicable).

Conference badge colors

  • Red: First time BCCE attendee
  • White: Veteran BCCE attendee
  • Green: Exhibitor
  • Orange: Accompanying guest
  • Blue: DivChed officers and committee chairs
  • Purple: Planning Committee member
  • Tan: Student helper or volunteer

Wi-Fi Access
Conference attendees will have free access to GVSU’s  internet service. Log in information will be provided with conference materials.

Parking will be free on campus. Attendees are welcome to park in any lot except M and N or at metered spots.

University Bookstore
The University Bookstore (UBS) on the Allendale Campus is located on the main level of the Kirkhof Center.
It will be open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. It may also be open on Sunday.

Copy & Fax Services
The Copy Center is located on the lower level in the Kirkhof Center. Attendees can walk in to make copies from a thumb drive or hard copy. Payment is by cash only. (ATM machines are located in the Kirkhof Center, main level). In addition, documents can be scanned and e-mailed from the copy center. A fax machine is located in the University bookstore.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Cost: $0.03 per side of black and white copy or $0.25 per side of color copy

Mailing Letters and Packages
UPS packages can be sent through the Copy Center. USPS mail boxes are located outside the Kirkhof Center.

Recreation Center
BCCE guests are welcome to use the Grand Valley State University recreation facilities. Amenities include a recreational gymnasium with wood flooring, an elevated track for jogging and walking, an extensive cardiovascular area with equipment, and a weight lifting center. Also, there are outdoor basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts, and roller hockey courts that will be drop in use as well. The Aquatic Center, outdoor track, and climbing wall are also available, on a limited schedule. The cost to use the facilities is $5 per person per day.

Saturday August 2: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Sunday August 3: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Monday August 4: 6 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Tuesday August 5: 6 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Wednesday August 6: 6 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Thursday August 7: 6 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Friday August 1: No Time Available
Saturday August 2: 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Sunday August 3: 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Monday August 4: 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Tuesday August 5: 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
